Silicone or Saline: Which Is Better for Breast Implants?

If you are considering having breast augmentation surgery, consulting with the professionals at Baker Center for Plastic Surgery is an important step in choosing the appropriate type of implant for you. Doing research ahead of time and bringing in any questions or concerns is also important. The following pros and cons of silicone and saline can help you start that process:

Silicone

The silicone breast implant got a bad rap in the 1990s when it was discovered that up to 70 percent of implants began leaking after 10 years. The FDA quickly pulled the product off the market. Since then, the quality of silicone implants has vastly improved. Beginning in 2006, silicone implants became available again and have since become the favorite of both women and plastic surgeons. Why?

Silicone breast implants, also known as cohesive gel implants, are now designed with thicker, more durable shells that are resistant to leaking. Silicone also offers a much more natural look and feel compared to saline, because silicone more closely mimics fat. Other benefits include much less rippling of the overlaying skin and lower risk of developing scar tissue around the implant.

Saline

Saline is a popular choice among women who still aren’t comfortable with silicone. However, the irony is that saline implants are made with a silicone shell. While saline implants are firmer and do not have as natural a feel or appearance, they do have the benefit of not needing to be replaced unless they rupture or tear. Silicone, on the other hand, usually needs replacing sometime after 10 years. Another benefit of saline is the size of the implant can be adjusted by the surgeon during implantation, ensuring symmetry.

When choosing your implant type, keep in mind that cosmetic breast augmentation can only be done with saline implants on women aged 18 years and older, and silicone implants can only be used by women aged 22 years and older.

Here is a scary fact:
Did you know that aluminum and parabens are correlated to the onset of breast cancer and alzheimer’s disease?

Aluminum has been correlated with cancerous cell development in the underarm/breast area as well as contribute to the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. People are becoming more and more aware of the hazards of aluminum in everyday items including, one of the most potent, their deodorant. Benefits of Fusion Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are used to thicken hair or add color, depth, length and texture to your hair. As one of the secrets of Hollywood stars, real hair extensions care has become one of the most popular treatments in improving how the hair looks, feels, moves, falls down and goes up.

There are others ways to achieve hair improvement through adding hair. These include sewing, clipping, gluing and tubing. However, the most preferred method of hair weaving is air extensions through fusion.

The fusion hair extension method became popular because of its painless, non-surgical procedure that lasts only about fifteen minutes, but could provide longer lasting results of up to five to six months. If you wish to have extensions attached to your roots, then you might consider this method to produce a more natural look.
Fusion can be used for either hot or cold fusions hair extensions. While hot fusion uses hot glue to attach the extensions, cold fusion extensions are attached by using keratin-based polymer that is attached to your roots one stand at a time. Instead of heat, this method works by using ultra sonic waves (or rapid impulses).

When applied by a professional, fusion hair extensions will be indistinguishable from your natural hair. Since this real hair extensions method uses no type of heat, they are ideal for people with thin or very fine hair.

If you want to achieve natural looking, 100% human hair extensions that can match your natural hair color, then cold fusions extensions are the best option for you. With these kinds of extensions, you will have longer, thicker and plumper hair than you ever had before.

One’s Crowning Glory: Using Human Hair Wigs

People have always considered the hair of a person as its crowning glory. Aside from the face, one of the very first things that make an impression is the hair – presence or absence, style and color – of a person. Most people go to extra lengths to make sure they have got the hairstyle that is perfect for their personality. That’s why hair loss is such a sensitive issue, especially for women. Thankfully, the wigs being offered today are versatile, customizable and extremely natural, that is can actually pass for real hair. Most celebrities use wigs to change hair lengths, hair color and hairstyles instead of touching their natural hair.

At Wigsuperstore.com, you get to choose a variety of human hair wigs to synthetic ones. You get to to be oriented on cap size of your wig, what type of cap you need to use and the hair color and length you prefer. It is said that 100% hand-tied and lace front wigs are the most expensive and are extremely stretchy and flexible. While real hair wigs are considered to look more natural, maintenance can be costly. As like human hair, real hair wigs need to be washed and are subject to frizz and other conditions natural hair is subject to.

Make-up and Perfume

Make-up and perfume for women are what are wine and cigars (or cars and guns!) to men. It simply just appeals to majority of women and we have the tendency to hoard them all the time.

Women have always been more conscious of their appearance, because that is what society has dictated and taught us from the beginning. That is why the make-up industry is flourishing all year long! I personally prefer Clinique makeup as they are the only ones that are compatible with my skin. Believe me, I have tried most of them. Estee lauder makeup I also like, particularly their eye make-up. In fact, I use their eye palette for my everyday look. Clinique products invade my bathroom vanity table because I use them for my skin care too. I actually have the products for their 3-step process: Cleanse. Tone/Exfoliate . Moisturize. I use this:

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, 6.7 fl oz., Clarifying Lotion, 6.7 oz., Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, 4.2 oz.

I actually do not personally go and buy them in the mall. I prefer to order my personal vanity kits online because it saves me time and money to do so. Besides I have memorized the brands I use. I only order from web sites that are secure and have authentic and original brands, like White’s East Hampton.

Going Under the Knife

It seems that cosmetic surgery has boomed a lot lately, with so many people going under the knife to enhance their physical looks. While before, having something “fixed” (like a nose job or a face lift) was generally frowned upon, these days it is actually more welcomed and accepted. In fact, cosmetic centers actually advertise the concept of beauty by saying that if it would make you feel better about yourself and make you confident of your looks, why not?

People go and have plastic surgery mexico and walk out the hospital as if nothing happened. I have a friend who had liposuction done and she was out of the hospital in 24 hours. She had to have bandages for around two weeks in the entrance and exit points of the cannula inserted (for drainage) but other than that she is fine!

Most women have breast lift and augmentation – candidates should be 18 years old and above. Implants are usually silicone or saline. A woman usually aged 40 and up who have not maintained her wrinkle-free skin with Botox injections usually choose to have a cosmetic surgery face lift! It’s your body you can do whatever you want with it!

Unique Clothes with a Statement

I have always believed that raising girls are more expensive than boy just because there are so many clothing options for girls that it is always so hard to resist buying them. I have two kids – a boy and a girl and my daughter’s closet is twice as big as her older brother’s. It makes it more difficult to resist temptation with the ease that online shopping brings (that and the fact I get my salary via Paypal too).

I particularly am into fashion statement clothes these days for my little sassy princess. She just turned four and is now asserting her independence and is showing signs of her personality. Let’s just say we no longer have a baby in the house but little big girl in the making. I have my eyes particularly on these clothing lines: Sara Sara, Hannah Banana and Baby Sara. You should them to be able to like them.

At Sara Sara, their concept is to create unique special occasion dresses and sportswear for girls with careful attention to details. These collections feature sportswear ensembles and dresses that play off the funky attitude and style in keeping with our image: Fashion-forward yet sensible and most of all, UNIQUE!

Their sister brand Hannah Banana, consists of easy-wear dresses and sportswear separates for the younger girls and will be great addition to those who are looking for a new stylish brand but price conscious.

Look at these pairs – my daughter will surely look rockin’ in them!
