Kitchen Light Fixtures

Kitchen light fixtures can transform your kitchen. Your kitchen space can be enhanced by the addition of extra kitchen light fixtures. The look and even ambiance or feel of your kitchen is guaranteed to be changed for the better, given the correct choices. It is an easy way to make a simple home improvement. With all of the selection of home lighting fixtures out there to choose from, there is certain to be one that meets your distinct needs and taste. You just need to decided which areas you need to light or enhance the lighting. Pot lights under the cabinets are a popular choice for lighting. Many people have them installed or buy kits to do it themselves. They usually run about a foot apart and hide neatly in place. No wires are seen and the appearance is nice and tidy. At night when the pot lights are turned on, there is enough light from them, to light up most of the space – and it gives a cozy, warm and intimate feel.

The use of pendant light fixtures above the kitchen table make a bold statement in a room. The pendant could be big enough to take up most of the table top if it is a round table, or add drama to a large rectangular shaped one. They can come in many colors and patterns to help go with the look of the space.

Some ideas for you to choose from:

Salad Master

Since when did kitchen equipment rival the price of high-end cars? I was surprised how much a complete cooking equipment could cost. But the investment would be for life, as the salesperson claims. Actually, a friend really vouched for the quality of their stuff so I inquired. Maybe when I get my own house and have my own kitchen. In the meantime, I would just save and invest my money, maybe finally buy gold bullion as recommended, so that I can afford to get one someday. Friends tell me I can buy gold in investing through the United States Gold Bureau. It is home to a large and dedicated staff of hard asset professionals committed to serving your precious metals investment needs and being America’s best dealer with a convenient market and competitive precious metals prices.

My White Kitchen

I still dream of owning my dream white kitchen similar to the one you see below. It may take several years before I can make it come true, but that is fine with me. It might take that long to make me like cooking and being in the kitchen as well.

But who knows? If I had a kitchen as nice as this, I might just make it my second bedroom. I love the chartreuse wall tiles and the kitchen countertop table. I envision my kids heading straight for this table once they arrive from school to tell me about their day while eating some brownies I’ve baked! (I think I will like baking better)

As it is, our kitchen is far from the picture above but I am taking tiny steps to make sure we have complete kitchen equipment. So far, we haven’t really availed of my husband’s available payday loans except for big kitchen equipment like the refrigerator and stove. Our Whirlpool microwave oven was a gift from our wedding (we love it).

I would like to buy a toaster, blender, a good (investment) coffee maker and fine dinnerware soon.

Here is a list of basic equipment you need to buy for your kitchen (for wives like me who don’t know a single thing!:

Knives

  • made of high carbon stainless steel
  • 3 or 4" paring knife
  • a serrated knife
  • 8 or 10" chef’s knife

Measuring Cups and Spoons

  • Various sizes, in metal and plastic
  • Get at least two sets of each, so you’re not continually washing them as you cook
  • glass measuring cups with spout, for liquids

Spoons

  • slotted spoon
  • wooden spoons
  • sturdy metal spoons
  • Soup ladle

Mixing Utensils

  • hand held electric mixer
  • Wire whisks in different sizes
  • eggbeater

Spatulas

  • straight spatulas
  • angled handle spatulas
  • rubber scraper spatulas

Sieves and Colanders

  • nested varying size sieves, in stainless steel (work as flour sifters too)
  • steel or plastic colander

Pots and Pans

  • 1, 2, 4, and 8-quart saucepans with covers
  • 12" skillet with covers
  • 6 or 8" nonstick skillet
  • roasting pan
  • two 9" round cake pans
  • 9" square cake pan
  • 9"x13" baking pan
  • 9"x5" loaf pan
  • 9" pie pan
  • 12 cup muffin tin
  • cooling racks
  • two cookie sheets

Miscellaneous

  • swivel-bladed vegetable peeler
  • grater with various sized holes
  • rolling pin
  • can opener
  • kitchen timer
  • kitchen shears
  • corkscrew

My White Kitchen

In my perfect world, I would have my dream home and in it, I would have my white kitchen and I enjoy being in it as I love to cook!

An all-white kitchen with stainless appliances and fixtures is my dream kitchen. I can’t get chartreuse green out of my mind as an accent after seeing white kitchen model units with it.

Of course, for now, I am stuck with our rented apartment and a makeshift kitchen we made. It actually is livable and hygienic for me, but if I were given a choice, I would replace the kitchen sink. It is placed too low that I need to bend forward to wash the dishes and the water faucet is so low that I need to maneuver to wash big pots. If I had the choice, I would have the standard two stainless steel kitchen sinks – one for soaping and one for washing and I would order from MR direct. They offer same day shipping and their prices are lower compared to most retailers. Best of all, you can order online and feel secure because they are better business bureau accredited!

A stainless steel kitchen sink is on top of my list if our landlady gives us the go signal to renovate (and have it deducted from our rent)!

Baking

I have this impulsive idea to buy an oven. I was just browsing blogs (cooking blogs) and wanted to try making some cookies I saw that would be perfect for the kids. But I do not have an oven. I am thinking I just need something small, but I know getting a big toaster would serve its purpose as well. I do not want to splurge on anything remotely expensive. For all we know, this might just be a passing thing, a hobby for me! (I know I should not apply for payday loans online for this).

I saw these options and would be showing this to the husband soon:

imageimageimageDual Pizza Maker:

For the most impatient among us, this Dual Pizza Oven could have us eating two 12" pizzas in 90 seconds or less.

In order to achieve this feat, the oven heats up to 790 degrees and features roof-mounted 1,440-watt coil heating elements and ceramic pizza stones to ensure thorough, even cooking. The only problem is that the 90-second figure does not take frozen pizzas into account. Still, with that kind of power, it will probably cook a frozen pizza pretty damn fast—and with higher quality than a microwave. Plus, at $249, it doesn’t come cheap

Pyrex for the Kitchen

I love Pyrex cookware. I practically grew up with it as my Mom used it in the kitchen a lot. Now that I have a family of my own I am starting to collect good items for my kitchen and Pyrex is one of them. I recently bought some during last year’s Black Friday Sale. Along with my Corelle plates I would have nice setting for my table already. Now if only I know how to cook :)

Here are the ones on my wishlist. I don’t think I would be needing to get a payday loan for this, I would just wait for another Black Friday sale.

TV for the Kitchen

I am currently on the lookout for a new TV I can install in our kitchen because it serves as a hangout for people in the house. We mostly eat breakfast there, eat snacks while kids do homework. It is really the central hub of the house. I am looking for deals of the day because I might get lucky and really get a steal of a deal for a TV!

BBQ Grills

We are in the middle of winter with record breaking sub zero temperatures, snow fall and snowstorms. We are pretty sure that most are having cabin fever and just couldn’t wait for spring and summer to come so that they can enjoy some travel, sunshine and more outdoor fun.

Barbecue grills is a staple for us in every party. We love grilled food and it is just so easy to make. Whether it would be a party indoors or outdoors, you are guaranteed that we will have a grill. We can cook anything with it – pork, chicken, fish even vegetables! That is why we have made it a point to invest in one. We did a lot of searching and finally decided to have two – one that is built-in and one that is portable so we can take them around when we go out in picnics.

The advantage of having built in grills is that you get to enjoy the convenience of outdoor cooking right inside your home! Sometimes when we just want to barbecue some ribs and do not want to be bothered setting up outside, we can just turn on the grill and cook! Plus, we have accessories such as side burners and sear burners, rotisserie systems, cocktail stations, storage drawers and more all in one unit! Outdora has the best designs when it comes to built-in grills. They are flexible to your need and would adapt the design to the space you have. They have Lynx Grills, Fire Magic Grills, Big Green Egg Grills for you to choose from!

Now we got smoker grills that are portable because we love to experiment with food and we all know that smoked food brings a lot more flavor! They use much lower temperatures so you can use them with red meat, seafood, poultry and try new ways to cook ribs, brisket, turkey, and salmon.

Just make sure that after before deciding on what grill to get, you have reviewed your options like:

1. Cost
If you can’t afford propane grills, go for charcoal.
2. Ease of use
For me, ease of cleaning would also be a big factor.
3.Additional features
4.Taste
Taste or flavor of food will be the deciding factor – if you love flavorful food, getting a smoker grill would be more advisable than the natural gas grill.
5. Portability
