Eat Out

We went to Leyte last week and it was my first time to taste this delectable dish called Lato. It’s fresh seaweed salad in a way, with onions and tomato and it tastes heavenly! I have been looking at term life insurance quotes online and remembered this delicacy that I immediately craved. It goes well with any dish! I ate this together with spicy prawns, baked scallops and mussels!

Family Cooking
Due to the nature of my work, I burn the midnight oil all the time. Before we had help around the house, it was always a race against every morning making sure the kids are ready before the bus arrives and most importantly, have eaten. They sure get tired of eating the same thing again and again like oatmeal and cereals so I am thankful I chanced upon these suggestions:
1. Pancakes. If you’re making pancakes on a Saturday or Sunday, make extra. Lay several on a cookie sheet, slide it into the freezer until they’re firm, then pile into a freezer bag. You can pull two or three out on a crazy morning and microwave them in 10 seconds. Better yet, put them in the toaster.
2. Avocado Toast. So healthy! So easy! I rarely even mash the avocado in a bowl first, which means one less dish to clean. Just smush it down on a piece of toasted bread and sprinkle a bit of salt. Call it guacamole if necessary. Here’s our basic “recipe.”
3. Hard-Boiled Eggs. Not that they take a ton of time, but if you make a few on a Sunday night, you only have to peel them in the morning, and that takes what, 20 seconds? You can slice one onto toast, although I recommend letting a toddler bite into a whole one. The slipperiness of it is fun, and somehow finding the yolk is a surprise every time.
4. Banana Slices with Peanut Butter. Lay out banana slices and top each with a little dab of peanut butter. Protein-packed, sweet, and quick. For an older kid, you can use the slices to make the first letter of his name.
5. Toast with Cream Cheese and Jelly. Most kids like toast with jelly, but jelly alone doesn’t offer a ton of nutritional benefits. Cream cheese and jelly is an underrated combo, and the cream cheese adds a little protein and calcium. You can swirl it if you have time.
Now if only I can work as fast and not be groggy! Can this work? http://www.testosteroneboosters.org/novatest/ It says it helps cell and muscle recovery and give energy boosts!

Some of the water ionizers from AlkalineWaterPlus.com.
There are many known benefits of alkaline water and this explains why a growing number of people prefer to use it whether for drinking, cooking, and many more. The question is where to get alkaline water or how to make alkaline water.
Alkaline water, also often called ionized water, is water that has a pH of around 8 unlike ordinary water. Because of the pH of alkaline water, it does a better job of hydrating your body and keeping it healthy. A regular water filter cannot provide you with alkaline water because to make alkaline water, you need to break down the water molecules into ions and free oxygen. You can do this with the help of a distiller, a water ionizer, or by adding alkaline ingredients to the water. Among all of these, the easiest and most convenient way to have alkaline water is to use a water ionizer.
AlkalineWaterPlus.com is an excellent online source of high quality water ionizers. Below are some of the products you can get from the website.
- Jupiter Water Ionizers. There are various Jupiter water ionizers available at AlakalineWaterPlus.com such as Melody, Venus, Athena, and Delphi. These water ionizers are known for being well-built and easy to use. Jupiter water ionizers are among the first water ionizers which means the company has the longest and most extensive experience in producing water ionizers. Aside from these, Jupiter water ionizers have trouble-free, continuous self-cleaning electrode plates. They can be easily installed under your sink and you get lifetime warranty with every unit of Jupiter water ionizer.
- Samsung Water Ionizers. Among the newest water ionizers, Samsung water ionizers received the highest certifications and ratings possible. Made in the same high quality facility where Jupiter water ionizers are made, Samsung water ionizer shows extremely good potential to compete against the best water ionizers.
- KYK Water Ionizers. Designed by Dr. Kim Young Kwi, the director of Water Science Research in Korea, the KYK water ionizer has won awards for both research and design. Reasonably priced and often updated with improvements, the KYK water ionizer may not be the best water ionizer in the market but it is definitely among the better ones.
- Enagic Kangen Water Ionizers. If you want a water ionizer with a fast flow rate, then the Enagic Kangen water ionizer is for you. This is the reason why it is popularly used in health and fitness clubs, doctor’s offices, and other places where a large volume of water is dispensed every day. Enagic Kangen water ionizers are among the best in terms of overall quality, ORP per unit of pH, and its ability to get pH extremes. Although this particular brand is more expensive than other brands, Enagic has over thirty years of experience in manufacturing water ionizers.

Detox
I am so happy to be able to finish a three-day detox last week! I deserve an eternity band from the husband for this
I have been reading up on the benefits of juicing but was a little intimidated and scared if I can do it. With the encouragement of a friend, I delved right into it. I am glad to be able to finish it without giving in to temptation! I gave up rice too, and I have been eating meals without rice (and even bread) for close to 6 days now. It’s hard – especially since rice is a major component of every meal where I live.
Here are the components of my mean green juice:

I have yet to master the correct proportions though. I really gave up lemons + celery because for the life of me I cannot stand it. Everything else I can stand.
I will keep you guys in check what happens next for me

Health,
Juicing
I am going to try juicing today, so please wish me a dollar (or even some silver bullion) and lots of positive jujus today. I need it.
I have a friend who has tried it, thanks to the movie I shared with her, and she is going strong for three weeks already. She inspired me to do this!
Here is the recipes I am going to try:
Mean Green Juice (original)
This is the official recipe used by Joe Cross and Phil Staples according to the Reboot Program.
6 Kale Leaves
1 Cucumber
4 Celery Stalks
2 Green Apples
1/2 Lemon
1 piece of ginger
Mean Green Juice #2
handful spinach
3 stalks of kale
2 golden delicious apples
small handful parsley
1 lemon
1 cucumber
Mean Green Juice #3
2 stalks celery
1/2 cucumber
1/2 apple
1/2 lemon
small piece ginger
1/2 green chard leaf
bunch cilantro
5 kale leaves
handful spinach
Mean Green Juice #4
1/2 pear
1/2 green apple
handful spinach
handful parsley
2 celery stalks
1/2 cucumber
small piece ginger
slice of papaya
NOTES FOR MAKING JUICE
• peel or slice off lemon rind leaving some of the white pith
• to juice small leaves such as parsley and cilantro, roll them up into a ball to compact the leaves
• wash all vegetables and fruits before making juice
• buy organic if possible
