Pig Out Day – Shakey’s

Light at the end of the tunnel.

You can call it partial light. After being somewhat relieved, we ate out to celebrate. But not so much as we would have to celebrate when every minute detail of our very big stressful problem is resolved :) So it was just our favorite – pizza and pasta for lunch! All these carbs in just a day – I need to get those pills from www.slimmingwraps.net!

Yes, three pizzas! My kids are great pizza lovers!

Pig Out Day – Gilligan’s

I wasn’t really good with following my diet this week as we went out to eat two days out of the 5 weekdays. It wasn’t really a good day for me and my stress levels were deliriously high so the husband forced me to take a break and treated me out. Just what I needed. Of course, I think I would need to take colon cleansers to clean out all the fat I ate!

We ate at Gilligan’s as we wanted some Pinoy food and all the other restaurants in the area were offering Italian, Japanese and American dishes.

Tender Bob’s

It was our first time to eat at Tender Bob’s and I found out there prices were actually pretty cheap and reasonable, given they have such huge servings.

It is similar to Friday’s, Chilli’s or any other American restaurants offering, what else, American food. Their promotional products even bear the American colors – blue, red and white (with stars even).

We ordered meat as we are great meatlovers. The husband ordered steak while I had porkchops.

The steak – medium rare. The gravy sauce was delicious!

Baked Potato Halves from Yellow Cab

I am poring over the car insurance quotes given to us by a friend but I have been craving for these the whole day! Too bad there isnt one near my place. (And I dont know how to drive) I eat these whenever we order from Yellow Cab. I dont even get a slice of an 18” pizza as it’s just enough for two carnivore boys.

Yes I can finish all of them in one seating too!

Pepper Steak

The husband and I usually go out just the two of us whenever he is home for the weekends. We usually time it when the kids are both in school so we would not feel guilty. There was a time we went on a date while the car was being repaired at the car repair shop, I just had to look at steel buildings to keep my patience and frustration in check. But we didnt let it affect our “date”.

We are crazy meat lovers so we ate at Pepper Steak,

For him:
Overflowing Pepper Rice (That’s its name)

For me:
I forgot the name but it was tenderloin something:

Dampa Eating at Aling Mahsya II

We met again, on Saturday, this time with our families. It was such a tiring, food-laden weekend! All these pictures did not represent a tenth of what we were able to eat. The husband loved the food, of course while the kids just feasted on the sinigang soup.

I did not eat the shrimp and crab (not a big fan of crustaceans) but I devoured the eggplant ensalada, baked tahong, inihaw na tilapia and liempo (most of which were not pictured anymore).

I want to go back there again!

I Love Wendy’s!

I really do. If you would let me pick a fast food restaurant I can eat in over and over again, I’d choose it in a heartbeat. I especially love their Biggie Iced tea, baked potato with bacon and cheese and the classic burgers because of its veggies. I actually try to limit everything as I googled Wendy’s food calories and I almost died of a heart attack (I’m exaggerating of course) when I learned the baconator is 600 calories! If I eat that plus fries I would have consumed my daily caloric intake in one sitting and would need to get fat burners from fatburners.org!

Karate Kid

We tried this restaurant after we decided that almost all of our frequented restaurants were full – it was lunch time on a Saturday so everyone was in the mall.

Initial verdict: It was cheaper than Tokyo, and had most of its meals (even the value ones, like the Sumo meals) similar to the former. It was cheaper. Our regular meal of Php800 at Tokyo Tokyo was only Php593 at Karate Kid.

Taste: I preferred the taste of Tokyo meals, but maybe because I am just used to them. The Tonkatsu and tempura tastes were negligible as it all boils down to the sauce. The beef misono was too sweet (and too grounded) for my taste. The husband loves it though.

And if you have an SM Advantage card, you get California Maki for free. Too bad we don’t eat maki.
