Time to Get Serious

With only two months left to close the year, it is time to really get serious about losing weight. I’ve been stuck at a certain weight for two months, only losing two pounds! (I deserve a pat on the back for not gaining any though). So I am still stuck on the 15lb loss.

I am planning to get serious on detox starting next week. After I design class rings I will be dealing with a meal plan to make sure that I follow healthy and clean eating until the holidays start.

Let’s do this!

How I Lost 110lbs and Got Happy

If I haven’t stressed this enough in previous posts, let me say this once and for all – there is no gimmick that will offer you long-term, sustainable weight loss. Not one. So if you’re looking to lose weight ridiculously quickly, and gain it back just as fast, that’s not what I’m going to offer you.

AMEN.

Weight Loss Update

Total weight loss update since June: 13.2lbs.

I lost the first 10 lbs in the first two months. I know – really slow progress, like a turtle. But for me, any progress, no matter how small, is still progress. I actually have up and down 1-3lbs this month of August, and I am aiming for another 7lbs to make sure I lose 10 this month. I know I need to inject some form of exercise to my day – dieting, or eating healthy, won’t do the trick alone, considering the size I need to lose.

So what did I really to lose the 10lbs easily?

You know, it really would sound so cliche, but I really just gave up soda. And drank lots of water, and by that I mean around 5L of water everyday. I try to drink at least 3L before lunch every mornings and it doesn’t give me problems at night. It controls hunger pangs, flushes out toxins and generally just gets you healthier. I only eat out once a week, allowing myself to drink sodas or juice during that eat out. I am also mindful of portion control – I still eat, three times a day, with rice and snacks in between. But I try to make sure I eat not because I see food but because I am hungry.

I am aiming for a weight loss of 50lbs by December, so I can enjoy the holidays and look good in pictures (not gonna lie about that!). I am also planning for our trips next year and maybe even a baby so I need to be as fit and healthy as possible. For now, drafting the itinerary and looking around for affordable Fort Collins CO hotels are on my to-do list!
