I had a relative who moved from Chicago to California and moved by land, since it was very expensive to move by plane. They drove for five days and employed cross country movers for their stuff. It was a great adventure, but they were carrying a toddler at that time so it was hard for them to travel long hours, they frequently took rest stops. It helped that both the husband and wife can drive so they can drive for longer stretches of time because they took turns driving. I cannot imagine doing it alone!

I am not much of a cellular phone addict. I need one to carry my day to day communication needs, but I don’t have the need to dress the phone up nor have the need to always have the latest model once it is released. One thing I am fond of though is having the pictures of my kids as wallpapers for my phone. I know most would prefer cars, or movies or celebrities – you can go to Mozoot for that and take your pick among the plenty of wallpapers for mobile phones. I am now a chef, thanks to the Facebook Application called Facebook. I have never played any game at FB before so I was quite surprised how addicting this can be. I even “cook” my dishes around my waking and working schedule and try hard not to decorate every now and then. If only they offer exterior shutters as part of their window options I would choose a great red color similar to Spanish houses!

After completing a great weekend full with festive and delicious meals, I was not able to get a good night’s sleep because I was scratching every now and then. It seems bed bugs have invaded my parent’s bed where we stayed for the night. I need to make sure that bed bug eradication is on top of their list this week – bed bugs have a tendency to spread to pillows and couches so they need to take drastic preventive measures!
