A Casino Party For Fun

There are casino parties where there is no actual gambling involved. You can hand out play money to use for betting. Even though you are playing for fun and not money, you can still make things interesting and exciting for your guests by offering prizes at the end of the event to the winners. For a small casino party at home, this can be something as simple as a trophy, a medal or a certificate (or a gift). For a larger casino party like a corporate or a fundraising event, larger and multiple prizes are more appropriate. PartyCasino.com can also be used as an online game tool where small fun bets can be placed.

Hiring a Casino Dealer for a Party

You can also opt to hire a casino dealer for your casino party.

Casino Themed Parties usually include:
o Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Poker, Texas Hold’em – all your favorite casino party games!
o A professional, festive atmosphere
o Dealers for 3 hours – Choice of dealer themed dress.
o Raffle tickets or auction vouchers for end of the night prizes
o Delivery, set up and tear down of all equipment

Choose the right food and drink. If you’re catering to an all-adult crowd, then the drinks should represent a “swinging,” feel good attitude. Martinis and Cosmopolitans both have that special Vegas-feel, and as for feeding your guests, be sure to choose finger foods that’s not too greasy and is easy to eat while playing the games on the floor.

A fun way for your guests to remember the evening is with a nice little token that everyone can take home with them. You can get customized poker chips, shot glasses, or t-shirts made just for the event.

If your crowd of friends love doing poker nights, you can spruce up your usual nights with these ideas! What kind of parties do you throw for your friends?

Take Out Food vs. Home Cooked Meals

1. You get to save more when you cook meals from home.
2. Your family eats healthier food.
3. They get to eat more too, as you can see. Take out food can only take you that far with $20. That’s only for one eating. $20 of groceries can feed you for days.

While it is perfectly fine to indulge in eating out once in a while, I believe nothing gets better than staying home and eating homecooked meals! (I should learn how to cook!)

Here is a scary fact:

Aluminum has been correlated with cancerous cell development in the underarm/breast area as well as contribute to the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. People are becoming more and more aware of the hazards of aluminum in everyday items including, one of the most potent, their deodorant. Deodorant is used everyday and the absorption of high levels of aluminum into the skin, 15-25% in current deodorant/antiperspirants, can be extremely hazardous to the body.

Slow Cookers

I have had a slow cooker since 2010 and I have not used it since. I bought one of those 4-quart slow cookers during the Black Friday Sale thinking it can be useful for a mom like me who works from home, has two kids and no househelp. I liked the idea of having to just put all ingredients in one pot and then let it cook by itself – that’s why it was a crockpot!

I don’t know why but I never got to using it. I should break into it soon. We recently moved to a new home and I finally have space for all the kitchen appliances I have been buying throughout the years.

Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker

Slow Cookers are convenient for busy families and for moms on the go who do not have time to hover at the kitchen watching and cooking meals. It’s a great way to serve home cooked meals after a long a day at work and school without resorting to processed foods or worse, take-out food!

There are a lot of recipes you can find online but know that conventional recipes can be adjusted for slow cookers too.

1. Fresh vegetables produce the most desirable results. Potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic should washed and cut in uniform pieces, then placed in the bottom of the crock. Canned and frozen vegetables produce overcooked dishes.
2. Tender foods such as pasta, asparagus and snow peas should be added in the last hour of cooking.
3. Dairy products such as cheese, milk, and sour cream should be added in the last half hour of cooking.
4. Seafood such as shrimp, scallops, and fish should be added in the last 15-30 minutes of cooking. Once the recipe has finished cooking, add seafood and cook just until done.
5. Ground beef should be browned and drained before slow cooking to remove grease.
6. Spices and seasoning: slow cooking does not intensify spices. In the test kitchen, we recommend adding spices in the last hour of cooking.
