Kitchen Light Fixtures

We all know how lighting is important in every aspect of our home. Some people prefer to have dim lights but some prefer to have it very bright. Lighting requirements depend on the place and its needs. If you are in a study table you need a bright light or a desk lamp, if you’re going to sleep but cannot sleep completely in the dark you might need a lamp shade.

Here’s some facts about different kinds of lights:
Flourescent Lights
They use 25%-35% of the energy used by incandescent lamps to provide the same amount of illumination (efficacy of 30-110 lumens per watt). They also last about 10 times longer (7,000-24,000 hours).This is the most commonly used light bulbs to save energy aside from LED lighting. This can be used as exterior light fixtures but not a classy one. This is a better option for pendant light fixtures.

High Indensity Discharge or HID lamps provide the highest efficacy and longest service life of any lighting type. They can save 75%-90% of lighting energy when they replace incandescent lamps.

Incandescent lighting is the most common type of lighting used in homes. It has traditionally delivered about 85% of household illumination.Incandescent lamps operate without a ballast. They light up instantly, providing a warm light and excellent color rendition. You can also dim them. However, incandescent lamps have a low efficacy compared to other lighting options (10-17 lumens per watt) and a short average operating life (750-2500 hours). This is also good to use askitchen light fixtures as it is always nice to use kitchen pendant lighting especially in the dining area. Low-pressure sodium lamps provide the most energy-efficient outdoor lighting compared to high-intensity discharge lighting, but they have very poor color rendition. Typical applications include highway and security lighting, where color isn’t important. These are the lights you can see in outdoor solar lighting systems use solar cells, which convert sunlight into electricity. The electricity is stored in batteries for use at night. Manufacturers most commonly use nickel cadmium, sealed lead acid, and lead acid batteries. And last but not the least are the LED Lightings, a light-emitting-diode lamp is a solid-state lamp that uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as the source of light. Now it’s up to you to look which light is perfect for you.
