If there is something in the pool other than the water that gets the attention of the swimmers, it will be pool toys. Pool toys are not merely just toys. There are inflatable pool toys or blow up pool toys too! They are tools that are most likely the source of more fun. For swimming coaches, these toys are the rewards their students get to play with after the drills they have gone through. They are also helpful in channeling the students’ attention to the toys instead of the fear of water. Toys such as rockets help them go under water and be glad they get to do it… simply because they loved the toys.
Swimming pool toys give variation to the family outing you are having during summer. Instead of just getting your usual dip in the pool, now you can play with your siblings and cousins and children and parents without getting perspired at all! (Rather, you don’t notice getting perspired.) If the game is rather tiring, you can be well assured that you got some exercise for the day (especially if you are the type that do not exercise much).
Another way to put fun in swimming is to invent games for pool playing. A land basketball can be played on water. The same is true with volley ball. Instead of the real basketball and volley ball, you get to use pool balls which are much lighter (they are also more uncontrollable).
When you have kids, though, who do not know how to swim yet, be sure that you are ready with vests that will keep them afloat. It’s fun to play on water but it is never fun when someone starts drowning. Also, be sure a lifeguard is around especially when children are in the pool.
When are you going for a swimming party? Have you got your toys ready?
